Profesor e investigador de Tiempo Completo de la Facultad de Telemática en la Universidad de Colima. Sus intereses de investigación se centran en Interacción Humano-Computadora, TIC para adultos mayores, Juegos Serios, Internet de las Cosas y Sistemas Inteligentes.
Es miembro Senior de IEEE y ACM . Actualmente se desempeña como presidente de la Asociación Mexicana de Interacción Humano-Computadora (AMEXIHC), como chair del capítulo mexicano de ACM SIGCHI (CHI-Mexico), y como líder del laboratorio de Interacción Humano-Computadora de la Facultad de Telemática (IHCLab). Además, es miembro de la Academia Mexicana de Computación (AMexComp) y de la Sociedad Mexicana de Ciencia de Computación (SMCC).
