Workshop: Videogame Development

The "NASA International Space Applications Challenge" —NASA International space apps challenge— is a project of the said Administration to develop mobile applications and other inventions using open data from different sources; on these dates, the General Directorate for the Integration of Information Technologies of the University of Colima is organizing the regional stage.

As part of the preparation work of the participants, Mtro. Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, member of this laboratory, to give from 20 to 22 September of the current year the workshop "Making Videogames", in which the basic concepts and methodologies for the development of a videogame were addressed.

In the challenge —which will have the «hackathon» type format - several teams will participate that will have to develop an application in a period of two days (2-3 October), advised by experts or mentors. In this edition, the Mtro. Miguel Ángel Rodríguez and Prof. Pedro Santana, among others.

The global award - to be announced on December 5 - includes the opportunity to attend a NASA launch.

We are eager to meet the winners of this first stage, who will be announced on October 7.
