2nd Workshop on Inclusive and Equitable Smart Environments

Welcome

The Human-Computer Interaction Lab (IHCLab) of the School of Telematics at the Universidad de Colima and the Mexican Association on Human-Computer Interaction (AMexIHC) within the framework of the Tenth Mexican International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (MexIHC 2024), which will be held in Saltillo, Mexico on November 6-8th, 2024, invites to participate in the 2nd Workshop on Inclusive and Equitable Smart Environments.

This workshop aims to be a forum for researchers from different areas of computing who work to create environments in spaces of daily life that, through applied artificial intelligence, contribute to the social wellbeing.

The 1st Workshop on Inclusive and Equitable Smart Environments was held in the Mexican International Conference on Computer Science (ENC 2022).

The workshop will accept works in process or finished that involve the use of Artificial Intelligence to solve public interest problems and support the improvement of social wellbeing.

The main topics of interest, but not limited, are:

  • Intelligent support systems for areas that impact social wellbeing such as public health, education, agriculture and migration.
  • Using big data to build intelligent systems for social good.
  • Inclusive smart environments to support vulnerable and marginalized groups of people.
  • Age-friendly smart environtments.
  • Smart transportation hubs and intelligent mobility for disabled people
  • Smart cities design for disability
  • Qualitative studies of intelligent systems or environments to support social good.

Workshop information

MexIHC 2024 will have a in-person format, so the 2nd Workshop on Inclusive and Equitable Smart Environments (IESE) will be held in that format.
